Sericulture Hub

Serving as a vital supplier for the renowned Mysore Silk, Ramanagara is recognized as Asia's largest market for silk cocoons. The district's dominance in sericulture plays a pivotal role in shaping its economic landscape.

Industrial Hubs

Ramanagara hosts two major industrial hubs – Bidadi and Harohalli. Bidadi accommodates over 250 companies, while Harohalli, spread across 3800 acres, stands as one of the state's largest industrial estates with more than 600 companies.

The city houses clusters for automotive and steel manufacturing, cement and power looms. An Electric Vehicle cluster, spread over 500 acres , i s proposed to be established in Ramanagara, making it an ideal destination for investments.

Channapattana Toys & Dolls

Asia's largest market for these traditional crafts, is celebrated for its handcrafted wooden toys. these creations are renowned for their vibrant colors & intricate designs, contributing significantly to the region's cultural vibrancy and economic identity.

Granite Reserves

Ramanagara's Granite Reserves exhibit Closepet granites, Lower Proterozoic geological formations spanning 50 km. They divide Archaean crustal blocks, with the west featuring granite-greenstone belts and the east displaying younger gneisses and gold-bearing schist belts.

Textile and Handicrafts

The Ramanagara district is earmarked to be a textile hub. The state government has proposedanintegratedtextileparkinthedist. Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) has identified 125 acres of land at Harisandra village and 106 acres to developwomen entrepreneurparkatHarohalli.
